Day 1 Arrival at Guwahati Airport/Railway Station
On arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, you will be warmly greeted by our representative and transferred to Kaziranga National Park, the home of the famous One-Horned Rhinoceros. En route, visit the Maha Mrityunjay Temple, a significant pilgrimage site. Upon arrival at Kaziranga, check in at your hotel. The evening is free for leisure activities. Enjoy an overnight stay at the hotel in Kaziranga.
Day 2 Kaziranga National Park – Wildlife Exploration
Start your day early with an exciting elephant ride through one of Kaziranga National Park’s zones. Apart from the One-Horned Rhinoceros, you may encounter various species such as Hog Deer, Swamp Deer, Wild Buffalo, Elephants, and, if fortunate, even a Tiger. The park is also home to numerous bird species like pelicans, storks, and darters, thanks to its abundant water bodies.After the elephant ride, return to your resort for breakfast. Later, embark on an afternoon jeep safari through the park to explore its diverse wildlife and natural beauty. After the safari, visit the Kaziranga Orchid Park. Return to the hotel for an overnight stay.
Please note: Elephant rides and jeep safaris are regulated and controlled by the Forest Department of Assam. Availability is subject to the park’s operational schedule.
Day 3 Kaziranga National Park – Transfer to Shillong
Day 4 Excursion to Cherrapunjee (60 kms|approx 3 hours drive one way)
After an early breakfast, drive to Cherrapunjee (altitude: 4,400 ft.), known as the wettest place on Earth. Visit the stunning Nohkalikai Falls, one of the highest waterfalls in India. You will also explore the famous Mawsmai Caves, known for their unique limestone formations. On the way back to Shillong, visit the picturesque Elephanta Falls. Afterward, return to your hotel in Shillong for an overnight stay.
Day 5Shillong Sightseeing – Transfer to Guwahati (100 kms |approx 3 hours drive)
After breakfast, visit the Don Bosco Museum (closed on Sundays) and take a leisurely stroll around Ward’s Lake. Afterward, proceed to Guwahati and check in at your hotel upon arrival. In the evening, you may opt for a Golden Sunset Cruise on the Brahmaputra River (at your own expense). Overnight stay in Guwahati.
Day 6 Guwahati – Kamakhya Temple – Departure
After breakfast, visit the Kamakhya Temple, one of the most revered pilgrimage sites in India. The temple is open from 08:00 AM to 01:00 PM and again from 03:00 PM until dusk. Based on your departure time, the temple visit may be adjusted to the previous day. After the visit, you will be transferred to Guwahati Airport or Railway Station for your onward journey.
